Top 5 Ways to Get Rid of a Sore Throat

Sore throat could be due to a cold. Or due to straining your voice. Or due to changes in weather. But no matter the reason for this condition, sore throats are always a bother.

It is difficult to speak, swallow or even eat. You will feel uncomfortable because of the persistent pain every time you do something where your mouth is involved. And the worst part is, is that it could take days to cure a sore throat.

Try Nyquil and Dayquil

Vicks NyQuil Cold and Flu Nighttime and DayQuilThis is my personal goto fix for a sore throat. Dayquil/Nyquil get rid of sore throats quickly. They help me get through the day and sleep through the night when I have a cold.

Just be careful not to get on the vicious Dayquil/Nyquil cycle - taking Dayquil when you wake and Nyquil before bed for multiple days. Taking them too much will make you feel loopy and out of body.

Try Gargling

This age-old treatment will soothe your sore throat and help reduce pain and swelling.

Gargle (but do not swallow) the warm solution as often as you like to reduce pain. You can gargle this solution in the morning and before going to sleep.
